    Johann Starke
    President & CEO

    Johann founded FCV as an interactive and digital marketing agency in 2005 with the goal of helping companies connect their brands with their customers using technology and innovation to drive results.

    Before FCV, Johann was Director of Business Development at Expedia while it rose to become a global brand and where he played a key role in the creation and growth of the private label technology platform. Previous to joining Expedia, Johann worked in the United States as Business Development Manager at Amdocs, formerly Qpass, where he led business development efforts within the mobile and interactive television business unit. Prior to joining Amdocs Johann was a strategy consultant at Accenture.

    Johann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Computer Information Systems from the University of Colorado and is a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization. He was recently recognized in Vancouver’s Top 40 Under Forty, and his leadership and philanthropic endeavours earned FCV a Community Leadership Award from the British Columbia Technology Industry Association in 2010.

    Derek Whyte
    VP Client Services

    Derek is responsible for client services, including creating best-in-class project management processes and ensuring well measured project delivery. He matches the often complex business needs of our clients’ with the right fulfilment resources at the right time.

    Before FCV, Derek was a Project Manager for Blast Radius. Previous to joining Blast Radius, Derek worked for Stockgroup. He has long supported the Drupal community and also led our certification efforts with a variety of Content Management Systems and other technologies. Derek has successfully delivered large-scale projects for brands including the Canadian Tourism Commission, Electronic Arts, Nike, Sun Life Financial, TELUS and TransLink.

    Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of the Fraser Valley.

    Warren Anthony
    VP User Experience

    Warren is responsible for user experience design process and creative output, with expertise in usability engineering and digital interaction design. He is a big picture thinker with an eye for fine details.

    Before FCV, Warren was Senior Project Manager in the United Kingdom at Tribal DDB London where helped deliver richly creative integrated campaigns which scooped D&AD pencils, a W3 Best in Show and a Cannes Gold Lion. Warren is a member of ACM and a regular speaker on the topic of user experience. He has worked on large scale projects for clients such as Hasbro, Nike, Phillips, RBC Royal Bank, Scotiabank and Volkswagen.

    Warren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Systems for the Arts and Media from University of Hertfordshire.

    Marcia Starke
    VP Human Resources

    Marcia is responsible for the human resources function at FCV, with particular expertise in career development, employee benefits program administration and talent acquisition. She is passionate about our culture and the smart people who work here.
     
    With a successful and solid background as a lifestyle model and running her own agency, Marcia works closely with the studio team to connect with quality commercial print and video talent for clients requiring lifestyle, commercial print, video and stock photography. Her experience includes work with clients such as BC Hydro, Best Buy Canada, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, McDonald’s and TELUS World of Science.
     
    Through her experience in front of the camera to the network of contacts behind the lens, Marcia brings with her a wealth of knowledge, a keen sense of sourcing top talent, and above all, helps seek out, grow and retain our skilled employees.
     
    Marcia holds a certificate in Human Resources from Queen’s University.

    Simon Hardy
    VP Creative

    Simon is responsible for developing FCV’s creative product for clients, leading and inspiring teams to arrive at creative solutions that engage customers and deliver results.

    Before FCV, Simon was a Creative Director at Blast Radius where he led breakthrough creative work for world-famous brands including Starbucks, Nike and lululemon athletica. Specializing in immersive brand experiences, Simon's passion for creative excellence has earned him recognition from some of the most prestigious award shows in the industry, including D&AD, Cannes, FWA and the Webbys.

    Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design and Advertising from Buckinghamshire New University in the UK.

    Tarmo Tammark
    Technology Director

    Tarmo is responsible for driving and developing technology strategy and execution for FCV’s clients, with particular expertise in translating business requirements into an executable approach that delivers on business goals.

    Before FCV, Tarmo was Senior .Net/Database Developer for Stockgroup Media Inc. where he developed and maintained financial web apps for banks, brokerages and media sites. As our Technical Director, Tarmo brings a long history of solving problems and creating interaction forums using technologies such as ASP, ASP.NET and SQL Server. His track record of success includes having helped deliver award-winning work for brands like the Canadian Tourism Commission, TransLink and Shaw.

    Tarmo holds a Web Development Certificate from Corporate Communications Training College and is currently completing a Diploma in Computer Systems at BCIT.

    Vik Kambli
    Senior Director of Digital Strategy

    Vik is responsible for leading FCV’s teams to develop and evolve a range of digital strategy engagements that apply customer insights, support clients’ brand and business goals, and enable brands to compete effectively. He has deep experience across the automotive, consumer packaged goods, healthcare and software industries with a focus on business planning, product launches, digital media innovation, public sector communications and executive outreach.

    Prior to joining FCV, Vik was Director of Strategy at Blast Radius where he led a broad range of client strategy engagements for the agency’s west coast accounts. Vik’s account experience includes a six-year term at Microsoft in a variety of product management and marketing roles, as well as with the engineering team at BMW Canada.

    Vik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology and Economics from the University of Waterloo.

    Ben Aston
    Project Director

    Ben is responsible for leading FCV’s Project Management Office, leading the client services team to ensure successful management and delivery of innovative business solutions.
     
    Before FCV, Ben was a Senior Project Manager at Tribal DDB London where he led the profitable and timely delivery of a wide-range of projects for clients that include Volkswagen, Exxon Mobil and Unilever. Developed through over 7 years’ experience at top agencies like Wunderman, Dare, Lowe and DDB, Ben’s digital project management expertise and successful track record extend across a wide-range of projects, from video virals to CMS’, flash games to banner ads, eCRM to eCommerce sites, and everything in between.
     
    Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Politics from the University of Sussex.

    Aaron Brady
    Senior Business Development Manager

    Aaron is responsible for managing new business acquisition for FCV, with particular expertise in campaign management, client management and digital strategy.  He structures complex projects with a focus on building long-term relationships.
     
    Before FCV, Aaron was a Business Development and Marketing Manager in the sports marketing industry, where after working at Grey Vancouver, he grew his reputation working with brands such as Canadian Tire and WirelessWave. His ability to align his team’s talent and core competencies to his clients’ needs and objectives has generated significant opportunities and revenue for brands that include the Vancouver Canucks, BC Transit, Nature’s Path Foods and Tourism BC. 
     
    Aaron holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Communications from Simon Fraser University.

    Jadyn Aguilar
    Art Director

    Jadyn is responsible for overseeing the artistic design of projects, with particular expertise in brand development and targeted communications. She uses design to optimize interactions with our clients’ target audiences, ensuring FCV delivers engaging, results-oriented creative.
     
    Before FCV, Jadyn worked as Graphic Designer at an agency in Mexico, earning recognition for her creative achievements from leading institutions like Cannes and Adobe, along the way. A dedicated and well-rounded designer, Jadyn has over six years of accomplishments across motion design, digital and print. Her award-winning design portfolio includes work for top brands like Nike, Brand Jordan and Scotiabank. 

    Jadyn holds an Honours Diploma in Digital Design from the Vancouver Film School, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Universidad Iberoamericana, where she graduated Valedictorian.

    Scott Rutherford
    Technology Director

    Scott is responsible for leveraging technology to develop and drive winning strategy and execution for FCV’s clients. With sound business acumen, he structures complex projects with a focus on building sustainable results. 

    Before FCV, Scott served as Technology Director at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, where he was responsible for all technology aspects of the $100M network of 200 franchise businesses. Scott brings over a decade of experience leading and managing business-enabling technology teams and delivering timely and cost-effective technology solutions to clients across retail, service, supply-chain, and hospitality. 

    Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan.

    Noah Barlow
    Director of Business Development

    Noah is responsible for leading new business acquisition for FCV, aligning the often complex business needs of our clients with the skills and core competencies of our team.

    Before FCV, Noah was Director of Development and Strategy at Blueband Media, where he was responsible for developing the young agency’s industry-leading portfolio of clients, attracting top brands like PlayStation, EB Games and Weetabix, as well as collaborating with agency partners to secure further new business with clients that include Skittles, TD Bank and TELUS. Noah’s six-year track record of success working in both big and small agencies has resulted in a portfolio of world famous brands that include Pepsico, Carlsberg and LEGO.

    Noah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from York University.
