Sitecore Site of the Year Award 2011

We scooped another award! This time the Sitecore Site of the Year award for Best Web Application, 2011 (yes, we know it’s 2012 - They clearly take the judging very seriously, as it was just announced this week.)

"TravelSmart engages, inspires and educates residents of Metro Vancouver to make smarter travel choices. Their mission is to reduce the percentage of trips made by single occupancy vehicles in Metro Vancouver, and help reduce congestion and pollution. TravelSmart creates awareness of how travel choices can benefit you and the community around you through tools, information and by combining innovative design with a solid and scalable platform."

For FCV, and personally, TravelSmart is one of those great projects to work on, mixing innovation, great design and a mission to make things better for us all - starting with our hometown of Vancouver, BC.

We're proud to have scooped another award for it - both for the team here (who are currently working hard to get the latest major version live) and for the awesome clients at TransLink we’ve partnered with for years who give us the guidance and the freedom to help bring these great projects to life.

TravelSmart has a long term mission for positive change, and new features are rolling out each Agile sprint to make the site richer, deeper, more engaging and more relevant, including some addictive gameification elements in the new TravelSmart Tracker web app. The site makes good use of the Sitecore CMS flexibility for development, with a responsive design, and dynamic personalization (using the powerful DMS extension).
