Managing Director - Toronto

As a result of significant growth and increasing new business demands, FCV is seeking a Managing Director for FCV Toronto. As Managing Director, you will be responsible for executing the strategy as defined by FCV’s President & CEO and the Officers of the company, as well as directly contribute to the development of this fast-growing interactive agency.

Profile

A high-level, high-energy Managing Director with strong business acumen and business development expertise, you have an excellent understanding of customers’ businesses and needs; exemplary people management, communication and leadership skills; as well as a proven ability to both inspire clients and motivate internal teams to deliver top quality digital projects. Additionally, you are results-oriented and creative; possess strong business development skills; and focused on permanent organisational improvements to adapt to market changes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Heavy client interaction, particularly with senior management and C-level executives on the client side
  • Manage the overall account and the internal teams including Creative, Strategy, Social, Media and Project Management
  • Identify new opportunities and monetize them from conception to delivery
  • Continue to build the office from a new business perspective as well as the internal team
  • Participate in strategic meetings of growing the agency
  • Represent FCV Toronto at relevant business events
  • Increase the visibility and awareness of FCV within the Toronto and surrounding markets
  • Develop marketing and sales plans to boost profits and efficiency

Required Skills & Experiences

  • 10+ years of:
    • Agency-side experience working with big brand retail or CPG accounts
    • Both traditional and digital experience across multiple advertising mediums
    • Experience developing and managing large-scale digital projects
    • Business development and team building
  • Proven history in digital & new media & technology, more recently in a senior management position, including sales, people and finance responsibilities
  • Experience in engaging with & building and managing relationships with large corporations at C–level
  • Ability to sell and lead the development of successful marketing solutions into senior level management
  • In-depth account management experience, with a successful track record in sales, negotiation, business development & marketing
  • Significant knowledge of digital technologies (HTML, XML, JAVA, .NET)
  • Knowledge of project delivery, best practice and KPIs to manage projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and productively under pressure
  • Experience in a National organisation an asset
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree, MBA is a plus
