COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP
Participation and action are what we believe in.

Community leadership

  • It feels good to focus your energy on a worthwhile cause. Participating in events like Canary Derby is rewarding, not to mention a ton of fun.

    - Shawn Rafuse, Interaction Architect
  • "We have been so lucky and have made partnerships with such amazing companies - we wouldn’t be here without them."

    - Whitney Stanford, PR Manager, Kayak for a Cure.

Community leadership

Our work brings people together. Whether it's our clients getting closer to their customers, or our employees getting closer to the community, we target our best resources to get the best results.

Our HELP network represents the pillars we feel represent the most important areas of corporate and community leadership:

  • Health
  • Emergency Response
  • Learning
  • Participation

Our HELP network has given us the framework to support many community initiatives, such as:

  • Kayak for a Cure which has raised funds for the Canadian Cancer Society since 2005.
  • The Canary Foundation’s annual Derby which raises funds for early detection and prevention of cancer.
  • Rapid fire development to gather support for Haitians affected by a devastating earthquake.
  • Saving the HSBC Celebration of Light from being cancelled.
  • Investing in the future of our people and building social capital through mentoring.
  • Bringing TEDx events to BC.
  • Sponsoring Canadian athletes to help reach their goals of participating in the Olympic Games.

The British Columbian Technology Industry Association (BCTIA) awarded us first place in ‘Community Leadership’ at their 2010 Technology Industry Awards.  We’ve brought together our community partners and our internal resources for the benefit of the community since FCV started in 2005, so we were very grateful to be recognized for our commitment.
