Harry Jerome Track & Field Website
Vancouver's Achilles Foundation continues Harry Jerome's legacy by hosting track and field events in the record-holding athlete's home city. From supporting events at the grassroots level to holding the world famous annual "Harry Jerome Track & Field Classic", this organization needed to be able to communicate with all tiers of the athletic community, near and abroad.
We developed a website which centralizes all of the track and field information for use by the community of followers. It allows online registration, competitor profiles, advertises race meets and then lists results.
We revised the identity to reinforce the strength of the brand, tying it in with the familiarity of Harry Jerome's statue in Stanley Park.
Through this inspiring site aspiring and elite athletes can co-exist and, with links to facebook and twitter, they can easily share their personal experiences and connect with other athletes online.
The Harry Jerome Track & Field website is now a central resource for track and field competitors locally, as well as those participating in international race meets.
With 3,600 hits per month, and hundreds of Facebook and twitter followers, the brand is achieving its goals of activating and centralizing track and field activities in Vancouver. With community partners like Vancouver Sun, the Royal Bank of Canada and FCV, Harry Jerome’s profile, legacy and centrality to the community is set to live on.
